Below are the Goldens currently being fostered by GRRoW volunteers. We match foster Goldens to applicants based on criteria noted on the adoption application and home visit report. It is very easy to fall in love with a picture or a story, but that picture or story may not truly match what you are looking for in a dog. For this reason, we do not allow potential adopters to select the dog they would like to adopt.
Our primary goal is the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of Golden Retrievers in Wisconsin. Therefore, at this time, we are not accepting adoption applications outside of Wisconsin. If you'd like to adopt a Golden, we encourage you to locate the rescue organization closest to you.

Ideal Forever Home: Outlaw is a sweet 4 year old male that loves other dogs of all sizes, cats, children and adults. He has a condition called Canine Uveitis and Progressive Retinal Atrophy which basically means he is losing his sight. Right now he is still be able to see o.k. and gets around just fine in his foster home. This condition will however get worse over the next couple of years but as long as he learns where everything is in the household, he will be able to get around just fine. It would help if he has a doggy buddy as a companion and as a lead dog which he could follow, especially in new surroundings. A fenced yard is a must for his safety. He is a big, sweetheart of a dog and doesn't let his sight inhibit his love of life. He adores being snuggled and petted, along with playing with his favorite doggy buddies. He would do best in a house that would be able to let him out potty occasionally throughout the day. If you are looking for a great companion who gets along which just about every creature great and small, look no further than Outlaw. And just like his name, this Outlaw will steal your heart. |
