If you have a Golden Retriever that you need to surrender, please call our Surrender Hotline Number 888-655-4753 and leave us a message or you may e-mail us at surrender@grrow.org We are an all volunteer organization and one of our intake volunteers will try get back to you within 24 hours.
When you call to surrender a golden, you will be asked to provide the basic information about your dog, such as age, health history, likes, dislikes, and fears. GRRoW is a purebred rescue organization and can only accept golden retrievers. If you are unsure if your dog is golden, please mention that to our intake volunteer. They will ask you to submit a photo to surrender@grrow.org. Please note that we cannot accept any dog with a bite history into rescue. Please be as complete as possible when giving information about your dog. The more we know, the better we are able to match him/her up with a new forever home.
After we have taken the basic information and approved the dog for intake, we will attempt to find a foster home for the dog. We will contact you to set up a time to assess the dog and take it into rescue. You may be asked to drive halfway to meet the intake volunteer.
