February 19, 2023:

Charlie has settled in and is definitely comfortable here with his foster sisters! Charlie is a very curious and affectionate pup! He has learned to shake, lay down(belly), and take a treat gently. We are working hard on the counter surfing and keep away game, he has a hard time controlling himself. He is getting better at sit and stay. Sometimes Charlie thinks he is a lap dog, when he naps he likes to be right next to his foster parents or sisters. He loves his walks and is a very good walker. Charlie is treat motivated. He is also good about being in his kennel and an early riser. Charlie is a mellow dog unless he is playing keep away! Charlie is a lover and a very handsome boy!

January 7, 2023:

Charlie is a great boy and is adjusting well to his foster home. He is making good progress learning his boundaries and working on his commands. He is very treat motivated which is helpful. Charlie is very good at walking on his leash, usually walking right at our side on a slack lead. He gets along well with our resident dog and they enjoy playing together a lot. Charlie would love to play with our resident cat and chase her around the house but Maizy stands her ground until Charlie gives up and walks away. Charlie sleeps through the night in his crate and loves taking naps on and off throughout the day. Charlie can be pretty hard on plush toys but he loves his Kongs (especially with a treat inside) and enjoys playing fetch with his hard rubber ball. More to come on Charlie soon.
