Hank

Dog ID: 22-021

April 25, 2022:

It has been almost two weeks since we adopted Hank, and what a great two weeks!  We were very aware of how shy and scared he was from the car ride home.  But with each passing day, Hank opens up more and more and shows off his fun-loving personality!

Within two days, Hank tackled the first and biggest hurdle of stairs.  Since mastering them, now he beats all of us to the top!  Hank is now eating most of his food in one sitting, sleeping through the night beautifully, and settling into his daily routine like a champ.

Hank still nervous-pees, from time to time.  However, as he has become more comfortable with his surroundings, we’ve seen big improvements.  We’re also working to make him feel more comfortable with car rides.

Each day Hank continues to explore and learn all about his new world in northern Wisconsin, and has fit in with our family beautifully!

Foster mom says, “I can’t get enough of him. He is, of course, such a sweet boy, very loving and a snuggle bug. He is verrrrry nervous about some things, and will do a nervous pee (no big deal). I feel once he gains a little confidence, he will pick up on potty training really good. He slept all night last night in the crate. He was an absolute dream. Hoping it wasn’t just because he was exhausted (ha, ha, ha,) . He’s off to an amazing start!! We love him.!
