October 29, 2021:

Our sweet, sweet boy Leo crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021. We adopted him July 30th, 2018. We promised him that he would live the rest of his life as our only boy. We knew he came with baggage…so much baggage. He was returned to GRRoW because he had so many issues especially a severe fear of storms. But we finally found each other. Our mission in life became loving him enough that he could forget all the bad memories but that was not to be. Our world revolved around Leo for 3 years and 3 months in our home and he lived every single day to make us laugh at his silly antics and love him even more for his desire to please. We took him with us everywhere we went, he loved his “babies” and probably had enough for 4 dogs. His personal favorite was Lamb Chop (I think he was on #7 of the large ones) and he had countless numbers, sizes and colors of baby Lambies. We woke up on Saturday morning to find Leo near death on his bed. We rushed him to the vet but the diagnosis after tests was Hemangiosarcoma and sadly, there was nothing we could do. We had to let our our sweet boy go right then. We held him, spoke softly to him and cried as he breathed his last breath. We will see him again someday and for now he is running and playing with Travis, Jack and Toby, our sweet boys who came and went before him. Someday, we will all be together again. Thank you GRRoW for the gift of Leo, we will never forget him…
